Thrifted Thursday.

Well hello. I've been bad at blogging this week. Whoopsy, I reeeaaallly meant to get back on track but it didn't happen. It certainly turned out to be a busier week that I expected. Although I'm exhausted, plenty of great things came from it...some extra money, a fantastic photoshoot with fantastic new models, and of course, the topic of this post, some UH-mazing thrifted finds!! After my "day" job yesterday, I had a huge itch to do go thrifting. I was torn on going or not because my handsome mister lucked out and didn't have to go into the office so I had him at home, all to myself. It was quite a decision...cuddling versus thrifting, two of my very favorite things...well, got to do a little of both, hooray!

My thrifted treasures (clockwise):
1. Bright blue vintage Samsonite shoulder bag...in perfect condition! It's already holding all of my work essentials.
2. (Can't really see it..) But the blue bag is sitting atop of a lovely olive green vintage suitcase, in mint condition as well. I'm thinking I may use it for a kitty bed mentioned here.
3. Three matching vintage faux floral paintings...they are actually just printed on particle board, but I love their aesthetic, and they match my living room perfectly!
4. Vintage olive green/brown plate...I have one exactly like it, and I was so excited to find a match!
5. Vintage picnic basket, again, in great condition! I was seriously scoring left and right!
6. A plethora of vintage contrasting/reversible floral towels and linens...to add to my collection. <3
7. A pretty vintage floral mug. My new collection of these is growly rapidly and they look so cute in my exposed kitchen shelves.
8. Little shabby chic pink and white mirror...it'll probably go in my bathroom. :)

Man, oh man, I left my thirfting adventures one happy lady!
I'm going to start some new listings for our online shop here shortly...And again, I'm going to try to get back on track with blogging. Bare with me :)

Have you thrifted any thing fantastic lately?

Thrifted Thursday.

Hey y'all. Happy Thursday to you!
It's beautiful outside so I'm in an extra great mood. Open doors and windows sort of beautiful! Ahhh it feels so good to actually be able to wear layers! Oh how I love me some tights and blazers...
(well today is skinny jeans + blazer, but you get me, right?)
Thursday means I'm back with another installment of Thrifted Thursday...
Last weekend I traveled way out to the NW valley to one of my fave thrift shops that I hadn't been to in quite some time...and it was well worth it. I actually had to put back a bunch of stuff because I had surpassed my personal spending limit.

Here's a little glance at just a few things I got...
I was having some fun with my new phone's camera apps, so I apologize if you are the sort who doesn't love overly edited photos...I didn't tweek these at all, my phone did.

Clockwise:
 1. Pretty vintage floral jar
 2. A *matching* pyrex baking dish (same pattern as my last pyrex purchase)
 3. A gorgeous vintage scarf (perfect holiday colors, I'm already planning X-mas week outfits, teehee)
4. A perfect set of Russian nesting dolls, mentioned here.
Plus some pretty vintage linens:
AND some beautiful vintage slips, they were still in my laundry pile so no photo of those... sorry.

Thrifted anything good lately??

Just a quickie.

So, remember last Wednesday when I said I was on the hunt for some awesome Russian nesting dolls for my place?? Well, I totally scored some yesterday. Talk about a wish come true!!!

By the way, I took these photos on my new, fully Uh-mazing phone that Babe and I got yesterday...We are both so happy to get out of Blackberry Hell.

I'm all smiles.

Thrifted Thursday.

'Ello. It's Thursday, and I'm back with some new (yet, old) thrifted finds. Last week's thrifting adventure was very Autumn themed, and this weeks trip also had a theme going on...girlie girl! I don't know why, but I was quite attracted to pretty little girlie items.

Clockwise:
 1. Vintage cutting board/cheese platter...with pretty little prairie girl on it. It reads " A cup of kindness goes a long way."
2. (Hard to see) Light pink shabby chic frame.
3. Lovely crocheted hanger in peach yarn...I've been looking for one with a plastic vs. wood hanger to copy the pattern, I want every hanger in my closet to be that cute!
 4. A painted glass window display, with a cute little gardening girl on it...It looks so precious in our kitchen window!
5. Lovely little strawberry teacup/mug. More cuteness for my coffee :)

Oh being a girl can be so much fun!

Any great thrifted finds for you lately??

Have a lovely rest of your day!!

Thrifted Thursday.

I'm back with another Thrifted Thursday!
I swear I can't let a week go by without hitting at least 1-2 thrift stores, some weeks it's more like 7-8. It's therapy for me...thrift therapy. I can be in a fully grumpy mood, but somehow digging through a thrift store to find some precious hidden treasures turns my frown upside down.

Clockwise:
1.Yarn. In perfect Autumn colors!
2. Pretty little floral vintage mug. Sipping coffee just got cuter.
3. Patchwork floral table runner...also in Fall colors!
4. Pyrex mixing bowl with olive flowers.

I really enjoyed how almost everything I found was in Fall colors...how very fitting for the season!

And last but certainly not least, I picked up this UH-dorable golf sweater.
I can't wait to wear it!!

What have you thrifted this week?

Big News: Billie Goat Vintage is now Butter Toast Boutique

Hello Saturday!
I've been absent for a week and a half....I'm so not very good at this blogging thing. I had a difficult week, so I wasn't much into sharing all that much, but I'm back to my normal self, and yet again, will try to jump back on the blogging band wagon. Now that we are approaching September, I'm finally starting to get excited about life again. The Phoenix heat can really take a toll on one's motivation. As soon as it cools off a bit more, I know I'll be such a happy lady. I have a really good feeling about this autumn....

One BIG change I've been working on this week is the tranisition of our online store (Billie Goat Vintage) into the new name of Butter Toast Boutique....We've been using two different names since we decided to name our physical store something different from the online shop when we opened Butter Toast in Novemeber 2008 (at that time BGV was on ebay, now etsy, soon to be extinct). It didn't make much sense...and it made it quite hard to recognize that we were basically the same store, just two different forums, and two different names... How silly of us.
Anywho, I've been transferring listings from the Billie Goat Vintage etsy shop to the new Butter Toast Boutique etsy shop....It's been a long process that is still only about half way done...eyyyy. Hopefully by the end of next week, I'll have everything transferred. Lets cross our fingers.

Although it's a bit late in the summer, we decided to shoot most of the vintage swimsuits in the shop to list on etsy...sometimes you just can't tell how wonderful a swimsuit is unless you see it on a person.
These are a few of my faves that I already had a chance to list.... there are many more to come plus so many more great vintage pieces. Check out Butter Toast Boutique on etsy! (Still under construction, obviously)

It's been awhile...and its because I've been crafting.

I've seriously neglected the internet lately. I hardly update anything anymore, before the shop moved locations I had nothing better to do but be online...Lately that's not the case at all, I've been in hands-on mode with store projects and personal craft projects, leaving very little time for online therapy. So I have a new [old] goal of blogging more [yah, yah, yah...]. We've been doing a lot of cute stuff at Butter Toast lately, and I've been a very bad girl about not blogging about anything. Please forgive.
I would personally like to invite you to enjoy my dear friend Ashley Eaton's blog, Merry May Handmade. She is the newest member of our Butter Toast team after she opened her own crafts-and-more shop, Merry May Handmade, within Butter Toast. Ashley is a much better blogger than myself or Jasmine, so check her blog for updates too! I'm hoping to get some guest blogs from her in the near future, so stay tuned :)

I didn't bring any of my many craft projects to the shop today, or else I'd probably be working on those versus blogging (oops.) So of course, I'm day dreaming about all the cute things I want to make in the future....Here's a small taste of the million things I constantly have my mind on.
Click the images for sources.

This would be mighty cute along side of all my newly pink-obsessed home decor and wardrobe. I've felt quite girlie lately.

My crochet work is not up to par yet, but I do hope to create something this beautiful someday....And once I can rid my sewing machine fright, I want to make use of all of my vintage fabric I've collected over the years!

Beyond cute, enough said. This may even be in the realm of my crochet ability.

This flickr user included a pattern for this cutey, and I have all the right colors at home. This shall become my Saturday night project, I can't wait!

I promise to snap some pics of upcoming projects and share. I NEED to get better at this blogging thing.
Ta-ta for now. xo

Sweet Tooth.

Looks like somebody is craving sweets today....

Special Thanks to Silvia Leite. Most of the images used came from her "Tea Party" album on flickr. Her crafts are incredible, and so delicious looking!!

I'm about to close up shop at Butter Toast today. I'm thinking I need a pit-stop for some sweets on my way home. Teehee.

Ciao for now <3

Blast from the Past: Games.

I'm looking forward to continuing this Blast from the Past series for-ev-er....there is so much out there that I miss, and as I age the list of rad things that used-to-be will continue to grow. Ah the memories.

A few games I hope you will remember (and hopefully some you still play!):

Blast from the Past: Toys.

Tis' a small collection of the faves that got me through childhood.

[caption id="attachment_492" align="aligncenter" width="500" caption="My boy cousins would only play Barbies with me if they could use the New Kids on the Block dolls. Teehee."][/caption]

[caption id="attachment_496" align="aligncenter" width="250" caption="My ultimate childhood toy: SKIP IT!"][/caption]

It's concluded that my new Blast from the Past series greatly hinders my work productivity-- All I want to do is reminisce on how fantastic being a kid was. I could google image search my life away remembering all the cool shit we used to do/have/love. Such a fine line between work and play...

Ta ta for now. Xo.
