Cool Vintage Breeze.

Phoenix is in an "Excessive Heat Warning" these days. We are expected to hit 115 degrees tomorrow. I'm doing everything I can to stay indoors, and stay cool. It would be extra, extra cool if I could surround myself with these fantastic vintage fans I've been oogaling over lately...

I hope you all are finding good ways to stay cool this 4th of July weekend!!

Desert Vagabond.

So, I got a lovely little email today from Alejandra of Imaginale. She informed us that she featured a vintage (& very awesome) ethnic fringe mini cape that she purchased from Butter Toast in her most recent fashion shoot entitled Desert Vagabond. I really love her Native American concept, the whole shoot is incredible! I highly suggest checking out the entire session here. Below are a few images and a video I snagged from her site!

To see people wearing/styling/loving/featuring the vintage items they purchase from us makes me truly happy. It excites me that people enjoy what we've poured our souls into. We love vintage, but more so, we love our shoppers who allow us to live our dream. <33

Happy May Day!

Oh happy day!! We've been waiting over a month to reveal images from our Spring Editorial that we shot in February with the lovely Angela Simpson of Angelina Rose Photography. We were able to snag the fashion spread in the May issue of Java Magazine, hence the delay on sharing the photos. We want to thank everyone involved with this shoot, we are so pleased with the outcome.

Look of the Day: Funky First Friday.

I had a bit too much fun this past First Friday, hence, the delay on the outfit post. Guess what I wore? Yep, another obnoxious maxi dress!! I can't get enough of them, they are just so easy to wear. My mister said I looked like a cute traffic cone, teehee <33. I'd have to agree.

Vintage maxi dress- from a friend.
Lion necklace- childhood gem.
sandals- target, bought 2nd hand.

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. I spent most of yesterday recovering from First Friday, but I'm feeling better today. My mister and I are off to Casey Moore's this afternoon to say goodbye to our dear friends, Nicolle and Jon. They are off to Portland to get out of the heat, and we will miss them so. On the bright side, this means another excuse to visit Portland! Woot.

Happy Sunday Funday!

Crafty fun, soon to come.

I'm starting preparations for a new project Jasmine and I want to create to liven up the shop for spring...fabric bunting! Josh over at GrowOp next door created an uh-mazing little display of plaid bunting above their patio and entryway, and we instantly fell in love! It has so much charm!! (Remind me to share a photo soon) We want to add our own twist, so we are going to use vintage floral fabrics, a scalloped shape, and I'm crocheting the line to string the flags on (instead of using bias tape). I'm so excited!! I can't wait to get crafty again. March has been too busy to even think straight, but I feel some creative energy coming on!! These are a few images I gathered for inspiration...

LOVE the scalloped shape of this one

I hope Jaz and I can find the time sooner than later to accomplish this little project. I think once March comes to a close, we will finally have a bit of breathing room! Hooray!

Happy Hump Day to you!!

Look of the Day: Salmon, Tulips, and Pleats.

Well, well..I didn't think I'd be able to do another outfit post until next week when Ashley and I work together again. But alas, my sweet, sweet mother came to visit me today at the shop, so I had her snap a few pics. Today I wore a fairly new blouse that has quickly become a favorite of mine, the details are so cute--pleated tulip sleeves, peter-pan pleated neckline (not shown), and a pretty little tie-ascot! Plus the salmon color is oh-so good. I paired my blouse with a pair of high waist Wrangler cut-offs, an ethnic belt, retro fisher cap, and bright yellow granny loafers. I snagged the fisher cap and a necklace from the shop to jazz up my look a bit more (Thanks Corky!!).
