Oldly Chic.

I'm drooling over these mixed media prints by Prince Lauder I stumbled upon at Trendland
I like things a little weird.

Images sourced from Trendland.

This creative laying of fashion and mixed media really makes me want to learn a thing or two in the graphic design department. Yet another item to add to my never-ending list of things I'd love to learn...Maybe I can talk my lady friend Heidi into a few lessons. :) She's pretty fantastic.

Happy Friday the 13th to you!!

New Loves v.15

Well hello. It's been awhile, hasn't it? Besides being busy at work, I've been in project-mode, so I've gotten a bit behind on blogging. Which is probably a good thing, since I spend a lot of time daydreaming of the projects I want to do, and not so much time actually doing them. I have a few posts up my sleeve about what the mister and I worked on this weekend, but since they aren't fully complete yet, I'm going to save them.
Today's New Loves artist may look familiar since I recently posted a couple of her prints (see here). But that was just a taste of the cuteness Shira Sela has to offer. Every print in her Etsy shop is beautiful, and I wanted to share a few more of my faves.

Miss Jasmine and I have a little meeting tonight with one of our favorite local photographers, Angela Simpson, to discuss an editorial we are planning next month. It's hard to believe that spring and summer are just around the corner! Spring is my favorite season, so I'm pretty dang excited for this shoot. Woot!

Ta ta for now!!

New Loves v.12

'Ello. I'm back for New Loves Tuesday. (Sorry I missed last week). I apologize in advance, for this will be a quickie, but with the holidays I haven't had much time for creative research.
I, of course, found this artist on Etsy. Her name is Eva Juliet, an art director and graphic designer from Quebec, a French province of Canada. My dear late grandma (mentioned yesterday) was born and raised in Quebec, so I thought that little detail was worth adding. Eva Juliet incorporates positive messages into her prints which I really love. As we head into a new year, I think positive reminders are a lovely thing to have around. Don't you?
(My very favorite, for the inner granny in me)

I hope everyone is having a lovely Tuesday!!

New Loves v.11

Hello! It's Tuesday, and I'm back with my New Loves series. Alas, it is another artist edition, but a new form of media has struck my fancy lately... photography. Especially vintage looking, feminine, whimsical sorts of photography. If you haven't stumbled upon Lola's Room via Etsy or some other forum, you must, must, must(!) look and adore her pretty pictures. I feel like I'm probably the last person to come across her lovely images, but hopefully it will be new to someone out there.

These images are just a few of my favorites. Lola's Room is jammed packed with precious, pretty, 'spend your day daydreaming about' photos. click-here-for-more!

Something Sweet.

Three ladies make up the shop Love Mae: Peta, Emily, and Rebekah. I fell madly in love with their designs after they were featured on Etsy's homepage not too long ago. They specialize in reusable fabric decals, and their designs are completely precious, whimsical, and lovely. I'm tempted to break the bank and buy up everything from LoveMaeShop! I want some for myself, and I can think of plenty of ladies who would love to receive these as a gift.

Dress up dolls for every season:

Or for the whole hip family!
I want to play dress up, forever, and ever. Don't you?
Happy Friday! I hope you enjoyed my little Something Sweet

Check out LoveMaeStore for a huge variety of pretty reusable fabric decals.

New Loves v.9

Good Morning and happy Tuesday to you! I'm finally on time for my New Loves post this week! I swear, it doesn't take me long to find a new artist to love as soon as I hop onto Etsy and start browsing. Today's New Loves artist was actually featured on the front page this morning, which is why she caught my attention. I used to have a quite a knack for fashion illustration in my late teens, and this artist made me realize how much I miss sketching. Her Etsy shop is called Robin Elizabeth Art, and it's full of uber amazing fashion illustrations and sketches. I adore her work, especially her use of pretty leggies! She has definitely inspired me to whip out the ol' sketch book tonight, and see if I still got it.  :)
Please check out Miss Robin Elizabeth, I hope you enjoy!!

Zooey, with antlers. So lovely!!

New Loves v.8

Good Morning! I'm up way earlier than I need to be on this lovely, brisk Wednesday morning, and since I got too caught up yesterday (w/ laundry & housework) for my New Loves post, I'm going to make up for it this morning! Today's artist edition of New Loves was actually brought to my attention by a lovely style blogger, and Butter Toast shopper, Celine of The Wardrobe Diaries. Her sister, Danielle, is an artist with a woodland flair, and her Etsy shop Larkspur Studio is loaded with whimsical wonders.

Oh-so-pretty! I hope you enjoy Larkspur Studio as much as I do!

Have a lovely Wednesday!

New Loves v.7

Hello there. I've neglected my New Loves post for two whole weeks...eep! I've been staying busy, that's for sure! Now that I'm trying to get back on track with blogging, I'm going to follow the same pattern I've been on, with another artist edition of New Loves. This girl is awesome, and I'm sure many of you have already seen her lovely work. She goes by the name of ashleyg, and her Etsy shop is stocked full of incredibly adorable artwork. I especially enjoy her color schemes, and kitty themes (of course). Check her out, you wont be disappointed.

Ta ta, have a lovely rest of your Tuesday.

New Loves v.7

Ello' ladies and gents (?), It's Tuesday and I'm back with a New Loves post. Lately, I've really been leaning towards new artists that I've stumbled upon (mostly via Etsy)...and today is no different.
...I just want to mention that I will forever love Etsy and all that it has allowed artists & crafters (ect.) to do. I love them for opening up this amazing creative forum that I will forever find inspiration from. It is so incredible to be able to enjoy the creative works of others on the site.

One of the (many) artists I've recently fallen in love with on Etsy, is Elsita.  Her work is minimalistic, yet strikingly cute, with subtle dark undertones. The absence of a face creates a grim image in my head, it's the mystery of it all...but somehow, her prints remain pretty in my eyes, and leave me wanting more of the story behind the picture.
I hope you enjoy her art as much as I do, and please check out her Etsy shop, Elsita.

All images were sourced from Elsita's Etsy Shop.

Ciao for now, friends.
