New Loves v.7

Ello' ladies and gents (?), It's Tuesday and I'm back with a New Loves post. Lately, I've really been leaning towards new artists that I've stumbled upon (mostly via Etsy)...and today is no different.
...I just want to mention that I will forever love Etsy and all that it has allowed artists & crafters (ect.) to do. I love them for opening up this amazing creative forum that I will forever find inspiration from. It is so incredible to be able to enjoy the creative works of others on the site.

One of the (many) artists I've recently fallen in love with on Etsy, is Elsita.  Her work is minimalistic, yet strikingly cute, with subtle dark undertones. The absence of a face creates a grim image in my head, it's the mystery of it all...but somehow, her prints remain pretty in my eyes, and leave me wanting more of the story behind the picture.
I hope you enjoy her art as much as I do, and please check out her Etsy shop, Elsita.

All images were sourced from Elsita's Etsy Shop.

Ciao for now, friends.

Thrifted Thursday.

Hey there. So, you know how I wasn't sure on Tuesday if I could fit some thrifting time in???
Well, I did.
And I didn't come out empty handed. Being that it wasn't a 'sale' day, I found myself being rather frugal...but some things just cannot be left behind.

Clockwise:
1. Set of 2 vintage velvet pillows, with a magical olive green floral print.
2. Lots of precious vintage fabric, with yellow/green and blue floral prints.
3. Skinny belts- 2 shades of pink.
4. Vintage bedsheet with a perfect green and brown floral print (it's going to be so cute in our room!)
5. UH-mazing vintage red plaid thermos.

I have plenty of projects in mind for those fabrics! I can't wait to get started! Oh how I wish there were more hours in the day sometimes...if and when I get started on those projects, I'll be sure to post about them :)
(Please excuse the crappy photo...the lighting in our place wasn't being nice to me and my already poor photography skills.)

What have you thrifted lately?
I'd love to know.

I find something new to love everyday.

Seriously-- Someone, somewhere, is doing or making new things for me to fall in love with every single day. I am attempting to start a blog series of my "new loves", to share the love, and spread the word about all the things I find to fancy. Maybe you shall fancy them too...?

Yesterday, I stumbled upon the Keep Calm Gallery, a London based art forum, with an emphasis on typography and screen-printing. I fell in love with nearly everything on the site, these are a few of my favorites:
These tea towels were seriously made for me....I loathe doing dishes, my mister has to do all of ours--but I'll dry 'em anytime, anyday. And I am so one-of-those-people that love word searches, crosswords, sudoku puzzles, ect. just for fun or to pass the time.
All images and artists were sourced from the Keep Calm Gallery, please check them out to learn more.

Hope you enjoyed my new loves, please share your new loves with us!
I'll be back next week with more of my new loves.

Happy Friday.

Well, well....I'm actually back with a post in < 10 days! (Let's see how long it lasts..) As you know it's Friday, and I'm uber happy about it. I don't have to man the shop tomorrow and I plan on enjoying every moment of the weekend with my mister. I have a few goals to accomplish this weekend...one of which I mentioned yesterday..increasing my new succulent garden! If all goes as planned tomorrow, Babe and I are guna hit a few local nurseries....and if I don't find what I'm looking for, I have plenty of succulent must-haves to purchase from The Succulent Garden on Etsy. I'm also hoping to fit in some thrift-therapy, and an evening bike ride.
I'm REALLY looking forward to Sunday evening...my brother (whom I haven't seen since Thanksgiving 2008) is in coming to town and we have dinner plans. I haven't decided where I want to take him yet because my obvious choice would be Cibo (my favorite pizza ever, ever, ever!) but I feel like I always choose Cibo, and want to (maybe) try something out of my usual realm. Any ideas Phoenicians? Let me know!
In honor of this happy Friday, here are a few images that make me happy. Click the images for sources.
