Sunday Daydreams.

I'm oogaling over these rooms lately. Daydreaming of cooking breakfast in that kitchen, pillow fighting with babe in that bedroom, and cuddling up for an afternoon read from that fantastic bookshelf/staircase. The robin's egg blue bring such a light and airy feel to the spaces. Swoon!

I hope this Sunday is treating you well. The babe and I are going to head to my mum's for a little Sunday afternoon BBQ here shortly. It's deathly hot outside, I can't wait to jump in her pool!

Swoon Saturday.

Hello Saturday!
It's another gorgeous day here in Downtown Phoenix, so you know I'm in a good mood!
I'm back with another Swoon Saturday, to share all the things I've been swooning over the past couple weeks..This, of course, is just a short list, of the many, many things I tend to swoon over on a constant basis.

Let's begin. I'm currently swooning over:

These fantastic elegant cat images by Rosiemusic on Etsy. They are too good!
This print by Rosiemusic is also fantastic...it reminds me of my mister and I...
We spend countless evenings together in the living room with our dog-like kitty. He plays guitar, and I crochet, craft, read, or play word puzzles...we love♥ being at home together.

This adorable use of wallpaper as seen on Apartment Therapy.
I think I would use a colorful floral pattern if I did this myself...black and white just wouldn't mesh well with the rest of my place. Nonetheless, a fabulous idea.

This image from Flickr. I kind-of-really want EVERYTHING in it.

This set of Pyrex nesting bowls...to match my other recent pyrex finds. I'm SO tempted to purchase these myself, but I really want to test my thrift-hunting skills to score more that match.

And of course, the new phone that has consumed the mister and I lately. Ahhh, they are such an upgrade from our previous pieces of shit. Plus, now we have matching phones...cute, right? Teehee.
(Samsung Vibrant from T-Mobile)

I could seriously go on forever about the things I swoon over, but I'm going stop here for now.
I hope you are having a splendid Saturday.

I find something new to love everyday.

Seriously-- Someone, somewhere, is doing or making new things for me to fall in love with every single day. I am attempting to start a blog series of my "new loves", to share the love, and spread the word about all the things I find to fancy. Maybe you shall fancy them too...?

Yesterday, I stumbled upon the Keep Calm Gallery, a London based art forum, with an emphasis on typography and screen-printing. I fell in love with nearly everything on the site, these are a few of my favorites:
These tea towels were seriously made for me....I loathe doing dishes, my mister has to do all of ours--but I'll dry 'em anytime, anyday. And I am so one-of-those-people that love word searches, crosswords, sudoku puzzles, ect. just for fun or to pass the time.
All images and artists were sourced from the Keep Calm Gallery, please check them out to learn more.

Hope you enjoyed my new loves, please share your new loves with us!
I'll be back next week with more of my new loves.
Ta ta.

Granny Squares.

About three months ago, I decided that my next goal in life was to become a great crocheter. This was largely due to my grandmother, whom I idolize infinitely. She was an incredible women altogether, but I especially admire her painting and crochet talent. I was cuddled up in one of her afghans the night I decided that I want to be just like her when I grow up.

And thus began my crochet obsession. I love it so much, even to the point that I often have dreams of myself crocheting beautiful, amazing, magical, inventive things. It consumes my mind nearly all the time (You can probably expect lots and lots of crochet inspired blogs from here on out). I'm still very much in the beginning stage of learning, but I do impress myself now and again, when new techniques finally click and I have pretty results. I've made some cutesy headbands (which I now sell at Butter Toast, $7) and some scarves, a handbag, ect. But my new book, The Crochet Bible, has opened my eyes to so many new and wonderful projects to create. Recently, I was struggling with a fairly basic motif, the Granny Square. I tried and failed night after night of attempting it... Until about 2 days ago, when it finally just clicked. I don't know how I figured out the mistake I was making, but when I did, it was an exciting breakthrough for me.

I have this amazing vintage floral chair at home, so I've decided my newest crochet project will be to create a matching granny squares accessory for it.

I haven't quite decided yet if I'm going to make a matching pillow or afghan with my newly mastered granny squares. I'm also toying with the idea of making a few adorable motifs with matching yarn, and mounting/framing them to hang above the chair. The possibilities are endless with all the new techniques I'm learning!

I am unmistakeably my grandmother's granddaughter.

Cute Bunny Blog.

So, I've been on a random cute image search today....mostly searching baby animals, and BUNNIES. Baby bunnies are so freaking adorable they almost look unreal sometimes. I've decided that Google image searching is a pretty great pastime. Enjoy the cuteness from today's finds. <3

Vintage HAT Star: Sienna Miller

So, I'm a huge hat person. I basically wear one everyday. And lately, it's been the same one because I'm semi-obsessed with it right now. I HATE to do my hair, and it's becoming increasingly harder to find the time to do to it anyway....so simple fix: HAT. One of my favorite VINTAGE hat-wearing starlets currently is Sienna Miller. I like her style all around, but her hat obsession is probably my favorite. Enjoy the photos lovelies, xox.
