Art Detour 23

Well hello. Long time, no blog...again. March has been busy busy!! I just wanted to quickly share a few photos I got on my phone from this past weekend, Art Detour 23. I wish I got more, I feel so bad because I wasn't able to take photos of each booth, as other things were stealing my attention.
Overall, it was a really fun weekend, I got to meet so many new amazing people and develop several new friendships! I want to thank all of our vendors for a lovely weekend!! I highly recommend checking out Brandi's blog and Kat's blog. I've followed these ladies' blogs for several months now, it was first time meeting them in person, and they are so, so great! While you're at it, check out this post from Kat, and this post from Brandi about their Art Detour experiences!

I made a Treasury, and it was fun.

We've been so, so fortunate to be featured in endless Etsy Treasuries over the last couple years (see via facebook or twitter how often), and I had always been interested in making one of my own, but for some reason postponed in actually taking the time to create one. Kat had a lovely little post the other day, and it reminded me that I still wanted to do one.
So I did.

Mmmm Toasty!

Happy, happy Friday to you!

Thrifted Thursday.

Well hello. I've been bad at blogging this week. Whoopsy, I reeeaaallly meant to get back on track but it didn't happen. It certainly turned out to be a busier week that I expected. Although I'm exhausted, plenty of great things came from it...some extra money, a fantastic photoshoot with fantastic new models, and of course, the topic of this post, some UH-mazing thrifted finds!! After my "day" job yesterday, I had a huge itch to do go thrifting. I was torn on going or not because my handsome mister lucked out and didn't have to go into the office so I had him at home, all to myself. It was quite a decision...cuddling versus thrifting, two of my very favorite things...well, got to do a little of both, hooray!

My thrifted treasures (clockwise):
1. Bright blue vintage Samsonite shoulder bag...in perfect condition! It's already holding all of my work essentials.
2. (Can't really see it..) But the blue bag is sitting atop of a lovely olive green vintage suitcase, in mint condition as well. I'm thinking I may use it for a kitty bed mentioned here.
3. Three matching vintage faux floral paintings...they are actually just printed on particle board, but I love their aesthetic, and they match my living room perfectly!
4. Vintage olive green/brown plate...I have one exactly like it, and I was so excited to find a match!
5. Vintage picnic basket, again, in great condition! I was seriously scoring left and right!
6. A plethora of vintage contrasting/reversible floral towels and linens...to add to my collection. <3
7. A pretty vintage floral mug. My new collection of these is growly rapidly and they look so cute in my exposed kitchen shelves.
8. Little shabby chic pink and white mirror...it'll probably go in my bathroom. :)

Man, oh man, I left my thirfting adventures one happy lady!
I'm going to start some new listings for our online shop here shortly...And again, I'm going to try to get back on track with blogging. Bare with me :)

Have you thrifted any thing fantastic lately?

Hello October!

Alas, it's finally here...the first day of October!
Sadly, it's still going to hit 105 degrees today, but this month marks the steady decline of temperature...something I know most Phoenicians are excited for.
I certainly am!
Another great part of October....PUMPKINS!
This year I absolutely want to go to a pumpkin farm (complete with tractors and hay bails) and pick out our own farm fresh pumpkins....in fact I'm going to mark it in my calendar right now, so I have no excuse not to. Saturday, October 16th. Done.

I hope everyone has a lovely first day of October!
Those of you that are local, don't forget about First Friday tonight! We will have some live acoustic music outside, and we started adding transitional vintage pieces to the shop, come see what's new!

Thrifted Thursday.

Hey there. So, you know how I wasn't sure on Tuesday if I could fit some thrifting time in???
Well, I did.
And I didn't come out empty handed. Being that it wasn't a 'sale' day, I found myself being rather frugal...but some things just cannot be left behind.

Clockwise:
1. Set of 2 vintage velvet pillows, with a magical olive green floral print.
2. Lots of precious vintage fabric, with yellow/green and blue floral prints.
3. Skinny belts- 2 shades of pink.
4. Vintage bedsheet with a perfect green and brown floral print (it's going to be so cute in our room!)
5. UH-mazing vintage red plaid thermos.

I have plenty of projects in mind for those fabrics! I can't wait to get started! Oh how I wish there were more hours in the day sometimes...if and when I get started on those projects, I'll be sure to post about them :)
(Please excuse the crappy photo...the lighting in our place wasn't being nice to me and my already poor photography skills.)

What have you thrifted lately?
I'd love to know.

New Loves v.3

Well happy Tuesday everyone! I almost blew off doing this blog today because I really want to get some thrifting in before my babe gets home from work....but, that wouldn't be very helpful for my blogging goals, now would it? So let's say hooray for sticking to goals!! I'm sure I can make some extra time for thrifting later this evening :)
I don't know about you, but I love love love Modcloth.com. Of course, because it's mostly vintage inspired...and they offer multiple sizes (a rarity in vintage shopping). Here's what I'm currently loving on the site right now...

Perfect for this autumn tranisition period...easy to wear and feminine.

Just the right amount of girlie details. So sweet.

Every year I go through a sailor phase. Sailor looks will never die, in my eyes.

Wearing tights and socks again, is my FAVORITE part of cold weather. Can't wait!

This is just weird enough for me.

I love me some reusable bags...and this one is cute to the max!

And what kind of Butter Toast owner would I be if I didn't include something having to do with toast....!!!
Not too certain I could pull this off myself, but I love it for its toast value.

All images were sourced from Modcloth.com!

Hope you have a fantastic rest of your day!

Too Cute: Vintage Greeting Cards.

I may have a new obsession on my hands... How freaking adorable are these vintage greeting cards?!?! Everything is SO much better when it's vintage...

(Teehee, of course most of the cards I love would have a kitty theme.)

Sourced from these Etsy shops:

What's your newest obsession?
We'd love to know!
