Good Morning! I'm wide awake (earlier than I need to be, surprising for a Monday) and had a fantastic weekend. All my goals were accomplished!
Woke up rather early on Saturday, and biked to the local farmer's market with babe. We stocked up on lots of fresh veggies, then shared a sandwich and had a couple brews inside the Urban Grocery & Wine Bar to start the weekend off right!
After the market, I had a couple of shop duties to fulfill, one of which was to ship an international order. I saw this van at the post office and had to snap a pic because I really, really love old unique vehicles.
With the shop duties complete, I was on my mission for succulents. We went to Baker's Nursery, and it was beautiful. It was so incredible to get out of our concrete jungle, and immersed among so much foliage for awhile. I think nursery adventures should be a more regular event for us.
They had a lovely selection of succulents, and we were informed they start getting hundreds more here in the coming months (I'm already planning my next succulent garden). We picked 8 succulent varieties: Adromischus cristatus, Sempervivum "Royal Ruby", Lithops fulviceps 'Aurea', Graptopetalum opalina, Melocactus azureus, Echeveria dondo, Anacampaeros telephiastrum, one species was unlabeled. After our purchase, we thrifted a container for the garden, then went home to create magic! Ta-da! Yes, that IS a blue cactus.
Oh yah, we also got the girls some organic animal grass from the nursery. They totally dig it.
Time to get ready for work! Have a fantastic Monday!

Happy Friday.
Well, well....I'm actually back with a post in < 10 days! (Let's see how long it lasts..) As you know it's Friday, and I'm uber happy about it. I don't have to man the shop tomorrow and I plan on enjoying every moment of the weekend with my mister. I have a few goals to accomplish this weekend...one of which I mentioned yesterday..increasing my new succulent garden! If all goes as planned tomorrow, Babe and I are guna hit a few local nurseries....and if I don't find what I'm looking for, I have plenty of succulent must-haves to purchase from The Succulent Garden on Etsy. I'm also hoping to fit in some thrift-therapy, and an evening bike ride.
I'm REALLY looking forward to Sunday evening...my brother (whom I haven't seen since Thanksgiving 2008) is in coming to town and we have dinner plans. I haven't decided where I want to take him yet because my obvious choice would be Cibo (my favorite pizza ever, ever, ever!) but I feel like I always choose Cibo, and want to (maybe) try something out of my usual realm. Any ideas Phoenicians? Let me know!
In honor of this happy Friday, here are a few images that make me happy. Click the images for sources.
Pretty pastel vintage radio...with a pretty little flaw.

Pretty embroidered pillows.

Pretty pink little lady, and pretty polaroids.

Pretty handmade birdhouses. (Another project I want to do)

Pretty neckties made from vintage fabric.

Pretty pink LOVE gnomes.

Pretty Dutch Tulip gardens.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Sweet Little Succulents.
Hi. Wouldn't you know it....another 10 days. Big-Fail for my blogging goals, haha. The truth is, I'm exhausted. It's been a non-stop couple of weeks....and the end is nowhere in site.
Ahh, the fabulous life of a small business owner... <3
About a month ago, I slammed my thumb in my car door...the nail has been hanging on, but now that it's half way grown out it wants to pop off so bad (major ouch). I've tried to pick up my crochet tools many, many times to get creative, but my yarn-supporting (sore) thumb just won't let me enjoy it. So I've turned to a new obsession....succulents! I bought my very first one, now I want hundreds to fill my home! As soon as get a little group started, I'll snap some photographs and share. But for now, take a look at these beauties! (Click pics for sources).
