Look of the Day: Funky First Friday.

I had a bit too much fun this past First Friday, hence, the delay on the outfit post. Guess what I wore? Yep, another obnoxious maxi dress!! I can't get enough of them, they are just so easy to wear. My mister said I looked like a cute traffic cone, teehee <33. I'd have to agree.

Vintage maxi dress- from a friend.
Lion necklace- childhood gem.
sandals- target, bought 2nd hand.

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. I spent most of yesterday recovering from First Friday, but I'm feeling better today. My mister and I are off to Casey Moore's this afternoon to say goodbye to our dear friends, Nicolle and Jon. They are off to Portland to get out of the heat, and we will miss them so. On the bright side, this means another excuse to visit Portland! Woot.

Happy Sunday Funday!

New on Etsy!

Hey there! This is just a quick post to share some new items we've put in the Etsy shop recently. The first three I listed yesterday, the rest will be online by tomorrow. It's been a crazy busy week, so I've gotten a little behind on listings. Whoopsy.

Head over to Butter Toast Boutique on Etsy to see our full collection!

On another note, if you're a Phoenix local, you know tonight is the First Friday Artwalk...and we have some great things happening 'round here. First of all, BTB is PACKED with new vintage goodies, everything from men's and women's wears, to shoes, accessories, and bags, to baby clothes and housewares!!
And there will be 2 live bands for your listening entertainment!
But wait for the kicker...
This insane retro party bus will be parked in front of the shop!! How cool is that?!

Happy Friday!!

Bits of Cheer.

Today, Jasmine brought in some really cute vintage Christmas decor for the shop... I was so pleased when she walked through the door with holiday goodies!! It definitely helped get the store a little more holiday-ready. I snapped a few lil' photos on my phone to share...it's not much,  but combined with the extra Christmas lights we recently hung, it definitely helped the Holiday spirit in the store :)

Our chalkboard sign outside, got a little Holiday makeover as well.

The First Friday Artwalk is about to get underway...come downtown and check out all the fantastic local artists & businesses!

Thrifted Thursday.

Well Happy Thursday to you! If you've been following this blog at all, you may have noticed that I haven't done a "Thrifted Thursday" series in three whole weeks! Reason being- I hadn't done anything thrifting whatsoever for at least two weeks, life just got too busy...But, I definitely made up for it this last week by thrifting almost everyday! Man-o-man, I got a lot of awesome stuff, so much so, that I couldn't even photograph it all. But I definitely have several things to share with you today.
Okay. I'm going to start at the bottom left corner and work clockwise:
1. A plethora of pink/s crocheted hangers...a nickle a piece! My whole closet will be full someday. <3
2. A retro yellow metal colander, it's such a pretty retro yellow!
3. A green floral apron adorned with pretty ric rac :)
4. Mirrors!! Lots of them- A dark blue gridded one,  a floral trimmed one, a gold rectangle one, a mini oval gold one, and not to mention THREE floral mirrored trays (not all pictured). I was in mirror heaven!
5. More floral vintage mugs to add to my collection <3
6. Set of 3 metal trays-- green with yellow daisies.
7. Set of Mushroom salt and pepper shakers, complete with toothpick holder. (See next photo for detail)
8. A silly holiday elf...to start my holiday knick knacks collection.
9. Pretty orange and white pot holder set.
10. Set of silver Owl salt and pepper shakers!
11. And a silver sitting fawn!
12. A load of itty bity plastic fawns and mini pine trees. ( My dream of a cute Holiday fawn collection is slowly coming true!)
I was scoring left and right! Hooray!

Last night, I was feeling slightly festive after listening to Christmas music all day, so I started putting pretty gold and red bows on random household items, and I dressed up some of my little figurines for the Holidays....it's a pretty sad attempt at an Xmas display, but it was an attempt no less. ;)
They look slightly festive, right? haha.
I wish I had more time in life to be cute and decorative. Le sigh, maybe someday...

I hope everyone is having a fantastic Thursday. Tomorrow is First Friday, and Sun Ghost is performing at the shop, so come by and say hi!!

Toodles.

Happy Friday.

Well, well....I'm actually back with a post in < 10 days! (Let's see how long it lasts..) As you know it's Friday, and I'm uber happy about it. I don't have to man the shop tomorrow and I plan on enjoying every moment of the weekend with my mister. I have a few goals to accomplish this weekend...one of which I mentioned yesterday..increasing my new succulent garden! If all goes as planned tomorrow, Babe and I are guna hit a few local nurseries....and if I don't find what I'm looking for, I have plenty of succulent must-haves to purchase from The Succulent Garden on Etsy. I'm also hoping to fit in some thrift-therapy, and an evening bike ride.
I'm REALLY looking forward to Sunday evening...my brother (whom I haven't seen since Thanksgiving 2008) is in coming to town and we have dinner plans. I haven't decided where I want to take him yet because my obvious choice would be Cibo (my favorite pizza ever, ever, ever!) but I feel like I always choose Cibo, and want to (maybe) try something out of my usual realm. Any ideas Phoenicians? Let me know!
In honor of this happy Friday, here are a few images that make me happy. Click the images for sources.

First Friday Fashion: 3.5.10

Since I'm trying oh-so-hard to blog more, I decided to take a few snapshots of fashionistas and fashionistos that strolled through our boutique this past First Friday. I meant to get this post up on Saturday, but in le crazy life (crazy-busy) nothing gets done on time.

The drinks started flowing and the photo taking came to a halt. This weekend was full of fun fashion, this is just a glimpse of how hot downtown Phoenix can be.

Yes, I'm behind on blogging. And yes, there will be another installment of Blast from the past tomorrow <3
