I came across a great post on Apartment Therapy a couple days ago about recycled sweaters (found here). I really loved some of the ideas and it prompted me to look into more lovely recycled d.i.y ideas. Here are a couple of my favorite:

The possibilities for re-purposing sweaters are endless...go ahead and google it. There are so many crafty people doing awesome recycled things! It really makes me wish I had more sweaters to get rid of :)
